Have started work on the Small Throne Room. The picture in the middle is how it started, and the picture at the top is how it looks now with painted pillars.

My name is Jan King, (a male Jan). Address as above, phone number 01603 482513, email jan_king@talktalk.net.
I have had an interest in Puppetry, especially Marionettes since the age of 9.
Early influences were The Little Angel Marionette Theatre, London, and The Harlequin Puppet Theatre, Colwyn Bay, North Wales.
I made puppets and gave shows as a hobby, with my father, until my first professional job, which was working for Gerry Anderson as a puppet operator and maker on the TV Series Captain Scarlet starting in 1966, the two feature films Thunderbirds Are Go and Thunderbird 6, and then the series Joe 90.
I left Century 21 in 1968, and later rejoined Gerry's company in 1983 as a puppeteer on Terrahawks, and also worked in 1985 for a short time on Jim Henson's feature film Labyrinth.
I have made puppet films of my own - The Little Match Girl, What The Moon Saw, Pop, The Appraisal, i've been thinking, and a pilot for The Emperor's Nightingale.
I am at present working on the puppets and sets for The Emperor's Nightingale, and worked on Specsavers Thunderbirds commercial. (March 08).
